This is a stout all-around beet wonderful for the Northwest grower. I love beets for the root and for the greens and Detroit Dark Red has it all. The roots are deep red and uniform while the greens grow quickly to size for a lovely, balanced beet harvest. They hold well in the fall and over winter too. Direct sow in Spring and every month until Late Summer for a continuous harvest.
